Nachdem ich meinen Notebook von Ubuntu 7.4 auf 7.10 aktualisiert hatte, funktionierte das Mounten einer NFS-Freigabe nicht mehr. Ich bekam bei einem Versuch eines Mounts in einer Shell die Fehlermeldung:
wrong fs type, bad option, bad superblock on 192.168.37.100/home ...
Als ich schließlich ein “showmount -e 192.168.37.100″ eingab, meldete mein frisch aktualisiertes Ubuntu:
The program 'showmount' is currently not installed. You can install it by typing: sudo apt-get install nfs-common ...
Nach einem “sudo apt-get install nfs-common” funktionierte das Mounten von NFS dann auch wieder. Irgendwie scheint das Paket “nfs-common” also beim Upgrade verloren gegangen zu sein. Laut Ubuntu Foren scheinen das Problem auch mehrere andere gehabt zu haben:
